Short visit to Payyanur

The experience started with ever energetic Shreyu aka Shreyas, the 3 year old kid was in all excitement to welcome us and show us his talent :) . The warmth of Mr and Mrs Roshan was enough to have a emotion attached with the happy family.
I, Roshan and Dinup got into the link bus which would actually take us to the Kalasipalya where we would board our bus to Payyanur.
Journey started with a loud music, I was expecting a Malyalam lyrics to shake my ear drums, but wait a minute the music sounds familiar, the male voice start hawa hawa yeh hava khushbu lutade, completely contrasting with the Marathalli’s stinking roads.
PK travels was the carrier, it severed as the dining room too for our dinner, with hot and delicious chapathi with tomato onion palya teasing my taste buds. Divya, Roshan’s wife, had warned me of the spicy food, but I must say they tasted good although I had to drink a lot of water after that.
Although not important I had to write those first two paragraphs because they made me feel good. It was 14th Feb morning 9 we got down at Payyanur took a very-economical auto to our hotel Vishakk International, decent room was the place to get fresh. It was in this room that I learnt Malyalam is not that difficult to understand after watching ‘Nevedyam’ for a while, it is only their nasal effect which leaves us clueless as to what they are talking (nom). Talking of nasal effect Himesh’s aaap Ka surror was also playing on TV (again nom). Although we ordered Peas Kurma we got it with a touch of Chinese delicacy in it. A small cockroach entered Roshan’s plate, but nothing to be scared off it was well cooked. Ya-it-is-yuck.
We were early for the wedding ceremony of our team’s cheerful girl Rachana. First the groom with simple with white and cream attire entered the place. Then Rachana with lot and lots of flowers in her hear in Maroon saree entered the marriage hall just to leave a smile on our face.
It was a small photo session with the newly wed and we were in dining hall shamelessly sitting even before the tables were cleaned to stuff some food to our tummies.
My short visit to kerala was a memorable one...
